Apple Day 2022
24 October 2022
There was a great buzz at the shooting range on Sunday when locals and tourists flocked to enjoy the Orchard Group’s annual Apple Day. Volunteers had been busy pressing apples to produce fresh and pasteurised apple juice. Punters could sample the different varieties of apples on sale and also take home chutneys and home baking. Stalls included Wild Hearth Bakery, Strathearn Cheese and Cultybraggan honey. Soundsphere singing trio serenaded the crowds and activities included a juggling workshop and Jim Thomson’s Woodland Crafts who provided all you needed to make a stylish wood man or giraffe. The Outdoor Playgroup created a campfire.
Meanwhile, the carboot sale attracted a large variety of stalls from arts and crafts to antique jewellery.
