Woodland Group Open Evening

In November, the Woodland Working Group held its first open evening for volunteers and friends, which was attended by around 40 people. The group enjoyed learning about the recent history of the woodland, the biodiversity work taking place, the recent consultation outcomes and discussing how the group will move forward to ensure further successes. The woodland consultation results will be publicised more widely soon.

The group had a successful 2022 with so many achievements to be proud of. It continues to grow quickly with new volunteers. The young trees in the woodland have grown well overall in their new environment and volunteers have spent many hours taking care of them to make sure as many as possible continue to thrive. We have also planted more recently.
