Community Woodland

Shelter woodland

When CDT bought Cultybraggan Camp, they also purchased the MoD hill ground to the south. CDT's Woodland Working Group are creating a new native Community Woodland there.

A Scottish Forestry grant of nearly £74,000 has funded fencing, trees, planting and maintenance. Tree planting was completed in autumn 2022. The group have carried out surveys of the flora, created wildlife ponds and cleared paths. A grant from the Steinmeyer Fund enabled them to build a shelter and picnic benches while tools were purchased with a grant from Perth and Kinross Council.

The group meet for regular work days and hold popular events at the site. Find out about volunteering.
